My work spans photography, perinatal experience, and reflective projects on care, embodiment, and identity. Below you can explore the areas I currently focus on, with links to more detailed information for each offering.

photography

I work as a film photographer capturing real, unpolished moments in pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. My work is grounded in lived experience — not staged or posed — focusing on the grit, labour, and embodied realities often missing in mainstream representations. Using natural light and a film-inspired approach, I document moments that feel honest, tactile, and true to the experience.

Film photography allows me to capture real, lived moments in pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. Unlike digital imagery, film slows down the process, creating images with depth, texture, and a strong sense of time and presence.

Sessions focus on authentic experience rather than staged or posed images, documenting the grit, labour, and everyday moments that are often overlooked. Maternity, in-home newborn, and family sessions are available, with digital add-ons if desired.

I occasionally experiment with new film types, techniques, and environments to expand my practice. These sessions are collaborative, exploratory projects focused on creative exploration rather than commercial shoots.

If you’re interested in participating in a free creative session, you can get involved and help me test new approaches and ideas in photography.

birth debriefing

I am developing a reflective birth debriefing offering for parents who want to review and process their perinatal experiences. This service will provide a structured space to reflect on your pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood experiences, drawing on evidence, lived experience, and professional insight.

Details, including availability and booking information, will be shared here soon.

pregnancy, birth and postpartum

I have over ten years of lived and professional experience in birth and perinatal settings. While I am currently taking a break from individual doula practice, my ongoing work in advocacy, research, and community initiatives continues to inform all aspects of my photography, writing, and reflective projects.

I have a local birth worker directory on my website under 'musings' where you can find active birth and postpartum support. I am always open to receiving emails, dms and messages asking for advice or direction in one's pregnancy and postpartum journey.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders' past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. I would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Dharawal and Yuin Lands, on which we work.
